Kevin West was a respected battalion fire chief in Camas-Washougal, Washington, with 22 years of service when his wife, 40-year-old Marcy West, a longtime hospital unit coordinator, suddenly died on January 8, 2024. Kevin claimed Marcy suffered a seizure that morning, but an autopsy revealed hemorrhaging in her neck muscles and petechial hemorrhaging in her eyes, findings consistent with manual strangulation, not a seizure.
