Cathy went on a hike down the Thumb Butte Trail at 7am one morning. No sooner than her hike started, fellow hikers heard her screams echo through the trees. When someone finally arrived at her side, they found her beaten and twisted body on the ground. It’s believed the criminal had used a rock or a wrench to end her life. Just hours later, another young woman also lost her life in a strikingly similar way. Another three years passed and yet another case unfolded, and this led investigators onto the trail of Bryan Bennet. Using DNA, they were able to link Bryan to the crimes of all three women… but the problem is, Bryan had already passed away by this point. This means we have no idea why he even committed the crimes.
