(SPOILERS BELOW) Days prior to the shooting, Yagaunda Buschbaum filed a false report on the victim, stating that he tried to assault her. There was clearly more going on behind the scenes with this one. In November of 2022, Yagaunda was sentenced to life in prison for the attempted second-degree murder of her neighbor. Buschbaum was charged under Florida's 10-20-Life law, which carries a minimum sentence of 25 years.
