(SPOILERS BELOW) Nathaniel's step sister Halie Sanchez (HER INTERROGATION HERE: https://youtu.be/A3LxYDOgUcs ) was charged as an adult in this incident, and Nathaniel was charged as an accomplice. Ultimately Halie was acquitted of the murder, as the jurors in her trial did not buy the story that the prosecution was selling. Nathaniel was eventually given a plea deal for involuntary manslaughter and was given only 4 years in juvenile detention for the death of 39-year-old Mariveresse Whitlow.
