Hadden Irving Clark became one of America's most infamous convicted murderers after killing six-year-old Michelle Dorr in 1986 and Laura Houghteling in 1992. Known for his erratic behaviour, cross-dressing, and extensive claims that he committed numerous additional murders, Clark has remained a controversial figure in criminal investigations. While many of his confessions have never been corroborated, his two confirmed murders continue to attract significant attention from investigators and true crime researchers.

Ian Rich became known in Ohio criminal history after carrying out a targeted drive-by shooting on Interstate 77 that killed David Perez and seriously wounded Jacqueline Perez on April 28, 2024. Prosecutors alleged Rich deliberately followed the couple from Newburgh Heights before pulling alongside their vehicle and firing multiple gunshots. He later pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, attempted murder, and firearms offences, receiving a prison sentence of 40 to 46½ years. The case attracted significant attention because of the seemingly unprovoked nature of the attack and subsequent claims regarding Rich's mental health and drug use.

James Craig is an American dentist convicted in connection with the 2023 murder of his wife in Colorado. The case gained widespread attention due to the method used and the contrast between his professional image and the nature of the offence. Craig was later found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. His case is often cited as an example of calculated domestic homicide involving poisoning.

Jeffrey Willis is an American man convicted of kidnapping and murdering a young woman in Michigan in 2016. The case drew widespread attention due to the random nature of the crime and the extensive investigation that followed. Willis was later linked to additional violent offenses, including attempted abductions. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, with the case highlighting the dangers of opportunistic predatory crime.

Jennifer Pan is a Canadian woman convicted of orchestrating the murder of her mother and the attempted murder of her father in 2010. She arranged for hired attackers to carry out the crime inside her family home. The case revealed a pattern of deception and manipulation, including fabricated achievements and a hidden double life. James "Jimmy" Rodgers became one of Florida's most notorious contract killers after participating in the 2015 murder of Dr. Teresa Sievers in Bonita Springs. Hired through a murder-for-hire plot orchestrated by Teresa's husband, Mark Sievers, Rodgers travelled from Missouri to Florida with Curtis Wayne Wright and fatally attacked the victim inside her home. His conviction, along with those of his co-conspirators, brought an end to one of the state's most widely publicized murder-for-hire investigations.

Joel David Rifkin became one of the most infamous serial killers in American history after murdering at least 17 women in New York between 1989 and 1993. Most of his victims were women involved in sex work or struggling with substance abuse, many of whom initially disappeared without attracting widespread attention. Rifkin's crimes ended following a routine traffic stop that led police to discover the body of his final victim in his vehicle. He was later convicted of multiple murders and sentenced to more than 200 years in prison.

John Cole became one of the United Kingdom's most reviled child killers after murdering five-year-old Logan Mwangi alongside his stepfather, Angharad Williamson, in Bridgend, South Wales, in 2021. Logan suffered prolonged abuse before being fatally assaulted and his body was abandoned in a nearby river. Following a high-profile trial, Cole was convicted of murder despite being only 14 years old at the time of the offence, making him one of the youngest people convicted of murder in modern Welsh criminal history.
