Nicholas “Nick” Browning is an American man convicted of the 2008 murders of his parents and two younger brothers in Maryland. At the time of the offence, he was 15 years old and living in a suburban family environment. The case gained national attention due to the age of the offender and the deliberate nature of the killings. Browning was later convicted and sentenced to multiple life terms.

Nikita Casap is an American convicted double murderer who killed his mother, Tatiana Casap, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer, at their home in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in February 2025. Prosecutors established that the killings were committed to obtain money, weapons and independence to carry out a planned assassination of U.S. President Donald Trump using an explosive-laden drone. Casap pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and, in March 2026, was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Timothy Ray Jones Jr. was convicted of murdering his five children in South Carolina in 2014 before transporting their remains across several states. Jones, who had become their primary caretaker following the breakdown of his marriage, killed Merah, Elias, Nahtahn, Gabriel and Abigail Jones at the family home near Lexington. He then drove through several states before leaving them in a rural area near Camden, Alabama. Police detained Jones at a checkpoint in Mississippi, and he later directed investigators to the location. In 2019, he was convicted of five counts of murder and sentenced to death, a sentence upheld by the South Carolina Supreme Court in 2023.
