On Monday 24th May 2010, Peter Gee, a caretaker at the Holmfield Court Block of flats in Bradford in the UK sat down to check the CCTV footage from over the weekend, what he saw would shock the nation and was something he is unlikely to ever forget. Checking the footage for the early hours of Saturday 22nd May 2010, he saw a man and entering Flat 3. Minutes later the woman was caught running for her life out of the flat pursued by the man who caught up with her overpowered her and dragged her back towards the front door of the flat. He then grabbed a crossbow and, still in full view of the camera, fired a bolt into her head. He then proudly strode up to the camera and, looking directly into it, held up his middle finger whilst proudly displaying the murder weapon. This man was Stephen Griffiths who killed at least 3 women between 2009 and 2010 and, when in Court, proudly called himself “the crossbow cannibal”.
