In the Detroit suburb of Dearborn Heights, Michigan. 54 year old homeowner, Ted Wafer, was awoken from his sleep at 4:30AM by loud banging and shouting at his doorway. First the noise came from the side of the house, then from the front door. The small house seemed to be surrounded and, he thought, under attack. Someone or multiple people, were attempting to break-in. As the disturbance escalated, Ted, reached for the tool that he purchased for exactly this purpose: his shotgun.
