In the Dupont Plaza Hotel in downtown Miami, Florida two men, Derrick and Duane Moo Young, a father and son, were found dead inside Room 1215. It was 16th October, 1986, and the city was awash in the criminal activity wrought by the drug smuggling activities of Columbian cartels that dominated the illicit market. But the two men were said to be nothing more than small businessman. And there was an eyewitness to the murders linking an ex-business partner, Kris Maharaj, with an axe to grind directly to the crime. In the decades after Derrick and Duane Moo Young were killed inside their hotel room at the Dupont Hotel, there has been a mass of information uncovered relating to the individuals who were in the hotel on that day; including the sordid past of the victims themselves. This story takes us from the brutal scene of a double homicide, through a rapid trial and then no less than three decades of further, relentless investigation and the fight for justice.
