In September 2014, 59 year old wife and mother Jill Halliburton Su, was found by her 20 year old son, dead in her bathroom. Two knives were found out of place in the house, but only one was identified as the murder weapon. One room had been ransacked, but the rest of the house was largely spotless. A home security system had provided a live feed of an intruder, visible in real time to Jill's husband who sat at work unable to intervene - and this recording could not be obtained. The murder appeared to be personal but the scene suggested a botched burglary. When the alleged perpetrator was finally arrested, he turned out to be a unique character and the chaos continued. This case took over seven years to reach a conclusion, but questions remain.
