

On November 29th, 2022, the Flowery Branch Police received a call regarding a person who had been shot. While on the way to the scene, police dispatch informed the responding officers that the victim may have sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was seen running up the street. Dispatch also conveyed that the suspect, armed with a gun, was still in the vicinity. Upon Officer Kalachik's arrival, he witnessed a female victim outside and noticed a gunshot wound on her left wrist. Following Fonda's confession, detectives monitored the victim's condition. Thanks to the timely use of a tourniquet applied by the responding officer, the gunshot wounds proved non-fatal, enabling the victim to make a complete recovery. Fonda Spratt faced an indictment on six counts and eventually pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder, along with one count each of home invasion and criminal possession of a firearm. She received a 65-year sentence, with 27 years to be served in prison and the remainder on probation.
