Today’s true crime case takes us to just after midnight on Friday March 13 2009 when North East Ambulance Service received a 999 to a report of a man having collapsed at a property at 14 Arthur Street in the town of Chilton in County Durham in the UK. When paramedics attended they found 35 year old Andrew Gardner, a vulnerable man due to underlying cognitive issues, dead in the living room he had been tortured for a number of weeks with his body covered with new and old injuries. 3 People were responsible, 24 year old Simon Clare, 44 year old Steven Martin and the ring leader 28 year old Clare Nicholls a sadistic psychopathic manipulator who not only inflicted horrific injuries on Andrew but did this in front of her young children and even encouraged them to participate.
